OpenAI
OpenAI introduced GPT-6.1 Sol, the first model in the GPT-6.1 family, at DevDay 2026. According to the company, it comes close to its strongest model, GPT-6 Astra, in coding and computer use at a much lower cost. It is available in ChatGPT Work, Codex, the API, GitHub Copilot and Amazon Bedrock.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare has released cf, an open-source command line tool that puts its entire API in one place, as an open beta. It covers more than 3,000 operations, outputs JSON by default and lets agents search for commands in plain language. Wrangler will hand over to cf over time.
NVIDIA
NVIDIA has announced the Open Agent Safety Platform to keep AI agents within bounds. Its open-source part, OpenShell, puts every network connection and file access an agent makes under rules; Hugging Face and Anthropic showed their first contributions.
H Company
H Company has released Holo4, agent models that can click and type on a screen, run code and call tools. The larger model's license allows commercial use, while the smaller one is for non-commercial use only.
Xiaomi
Xiaomi has released the Pro and Flash models of its MiMo-V2.6 series, a smaller 9B model, and the reinforcement learning stack it used to train them: more than 7,000 training environments, training code and a grading system. The company also disclosed what its final training phase cost.
Grok Bot
Grok Bot, the AI agent from Elon Musk's AI company, can now connect to bank, credit card and investment accounts through a new Finance integration. Accounts link through Plaid with read-only access. The feature is currently available only to users in the US.
Respan
Respan, a platform for monitoring AI agents, has introduced Span-01, a model that spots behaviors such as user frustration, prompt injection, hallucination and tool misuse in agent traces. According to the company, it can apply new plain-language behavior definitions in one forward pass.
CLM
Researchers from Stanford University and NVIDIA Research have introduced Contrastive Language Models (CLMs), a new kind of model that lets AI agents pick among options very quickly. CLM-8B is open source and runs on a single GPU.
Microsoft
Microsoft has announced its biggest Copilot update yet. The app now has three parts: Home, where chat and delegated work come together; Code, where anyone can build their own apps; and Autopilot, an agent that keeps working when you are away. Word, Excel and PowerPoint now live inside Copilot too.
Claude Code
Anthropic has moved Claude Code's cloud sessions out of research preview. In a cloud session Claude Code keeps running on Anthropic's infrastructure even when your laptop is closed. Pro and Max subscribers get a one-time credit to try them.
Qwen
Alibaba's Qwen team has announced Qwen Intelligence, which phone makers can add to their own AI assistants. It comes with three agents: one that plans tasks, one that operates the phone and one that creates images.
Cloudflare
The open source security-audit skill that seeded Cloudflare's own vulnerability discovery system was rebuilt end to end in September. It runs a six-phase audit through a coding agent, and the agent that checks a finding is never the one that found it.
