Google CC turns shared emails into a family calendar
Google's updated CC agent coordinates information shared by up to six people. The experiment is initially available to adults with personal Google accounts in the US.
Google announced on September 17 that CC is becoming an AI agent for families and households. The updated experiment brings together information shared by up to six people to help organize a household's calendar and outstanding tasks.
School notices, event dates and appointments can become shared calendar entries or tasks. CC delivers a daily briefing and can help fill in permission forms, prepare shopping lists and plan weekly meals. In Google's examples, the agent asks users for missing details rather than completing the task without them. The Times of India also reports these new capabilities.
The agent has its own Google account. According to the company, each member chooses what to share, including whether messages from particular senders should be shared automatically. Actions or information sharing outside the group require permission. CC runs in a separate cloud environment, not on the user's own computer.
CC itself is not new. Google introduced the original version on December 16, 2025 as a personal daily-planning assistant. That version combined information from Gmail, Calendar and Drive into a morning briefing, with email drafts and calendar links to help users follow up. The latest announcement shifts the focus from helping one person to coordinating a shared household.
The updated experiment is initially available in the US to people aged 18 and over with personal Google accounts. New users join a waitlist; Turkey is outside the announced availability. These capabilities come from Google's product description, not an independent hands-on evaluation.
