Alibaba's Qwen team has refreshed its audio model family with Qwen-Audio-3.1: five models that transcribe speech, turn text into speech and hold live conversations. The models are available by API on Qwen Cloud.

AI safety company White Circle has released Halo, the framework it uses to train its own models, on GitHub. Halo trains Hugging Face models with the same code from a single GPU up to multi-node clusters.

Security company Aikido pruned and compressed Z.ai's open model GLM-5.3 to create Altar-1. It is designed to let organisations run security analysis on their own servers without sending source code outside.
Yandex
Yandex has published Alice AI Foundation 80B-A3B Base on Hugging Face under Apache 2.0. The model was trained from scratch, has 80 billion parameters with 3 billion active per token, and covers Russian and English.
Cisco Talos
Cisco Talos released an open-source framework called CAIRN and used it to find malware that takes its instructions from four large language models, with no room for human input.
Cloudflare
Python is now a fully supported language on Cloudflare's developer platform. FastAPI, Django and Flask apps, PostgreSQL and MySQL connections and AI libraries such as openai and langchain now run on Python Workers.
Tabby
Tabby, founded by US accountant Ahad Ali, connects to your bank, sorts income and expenses automatically and shows profit and loss in real time. It is aimed at freelancers and small businesses and has a free plan.
XChat
X has added X Numbers to XChat. Anyone who has the private code you share can message or call you on XChat, even if you do not follow them.
Cloudflare
The open source security-audit skill that seeded Cloudflare's own vulnerability discovery system was rebuilt end to end in September. It runs a six-phase audit through a coding agent, and the agent that checks a finding is never the one that found it.
