Anthropic launches Claude Marketplace for plugins, agents and service partners

Anthropic announced Claude Marketplace on September 23, 2026. According to the company's announcement, the catalog brings together plugins that connect to Claude, products built on Claude and service partners that help organizations deploy it. Two days later it opened the submission page where developers can send their own plugins.

What Claude Marketplace is

The catalog has three sections. The first covers connectors and plugins that link Claude to other software; according to the company there are more than 2,000, including Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, Notion and Salesforce. The second lists Claude-powered products from companies such as CrowdStrike, Cursor, Harvey and Snowflake; organizations with a spending commitment to Anthropic can put part of it toward these products. The third lists consulting and integration firms such as Accenture, BCG and Deloitte.

Where it is used

According to Anthropic's documentation, users reach the catalog from the customization page in claude.ai and the desktop app. A plugin they add can be used in the web, desktop and mobile apps, in Cowork and in Claude Code sessions. The company says a single discovery experience will roll out across Claude and Claude Code over the coming weeks.

Who can publish

Plugins are built with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent Skills, open standards pioneered by Anthropic. According to the documentation, anyone on a paid Claude plan can submit a plugin or connector, with no partner program to join first. Plugin bundles go through automated validation and a security scan, and a person reviews each new listing before it goes live. Connectors are scanned automatically and listed as "Community" by default; Anthropic may move some of them to "Verified" review.

Anthropic's documentation also spells out the limits: the "Verified" label is not a security audit or a guarantee. The company says it does not run third-party connectors' servers and does not control how they handle data, and advises users to connect only to developers they trust, review permissions and watch for prompt injection. Claude shows a reminder before a user connects to a connector that has not been reviewed in depth. For a fuller picture of the catalog and its plugins, it is worth following evaluations from independent security researchers as well.
