Claims have been circulating in AI circles that Anthropic is preparing to release a model called Claude Fable 5.1. None of these claims has been confirmed by the company.
There is no launch post, model card, API model ID or pricing page from Anthropic. What is circulating originates from X accounts that follow the industry, and from secondary blogs relaying those posts.
The claims, in summary: that some Claude users have been routed to Fable 5.1, that the model is being tested with a limited group, that a launch could come within days, and that updates on the Sonnet and Opus side may follow.
