Gemini is no longer a single app you open on Android; it now runs through much of the operating system. In its latest post, Google outlined the newest Android Drop, the platform's quarterly batch of features, and most of what arrived leans on Gemini. The result is an assistant that reaches into tracking, driving comfort and accessibility rather than sitting off to the side.

Finding things and easing the ride

Find Hub can now help locate belongings that carry no tracker tag at all. Instead of relying on dedicated hardware, you simply ask Gemini where something is. For passengers prone to car sickness, Motion Assist adds a thin layer of small bubbles that move on screen to follow the vehicle, a visual cue meant to reduce the queasiness some feel when reading in a moving car.

Built with Blind and Low Vision users

Perhaps the most notable addition is guided sight in Gemini Live, a Guided Frame feature that helps people understand their surroundings, such as identifying household objects. Google says it was designed for and with the Blind and Low Vision communities, an accessibility tool offered plainly rather than as a headline gimmick. Elsewhere, Gemini can create Google Keep notes straight from a conversation, letting you co-edit them with friends, and chats can be personalized with custom backgrounds and themes.

Taken together, the update shows how deeply Gemini is now stitched into Android. Google says the features are arriving gradually across Android devices, without naming specific phones or a firm date. What is clear is the direction: the assistant is becoming part of the system's everyday fabric.
