İlker Canikligil, founder of FluTV and one of Turkey's best-known independent broadcasters, has produced one of the clearest examples yet of the software-without-programmers era: KATIR, an intelligent post-production tool for DaVinci Resolve. Announcing the first version, he summed it up in a sentence: a program he wrote in four weeks with zero coding knowledge sped up work at Flu fourfold. KATIR is not a toy; it runs inside a real studio's pipeline: eight modules in one interface, covering rough cut, audio channel cleanup, multicam editing, transcription and content analysis, titles, visual assets, social clips and publishing. It works against the existing Resolve project and active timeline, and pushes risky operations to working copies or separate output timelines to protect the master edit. The interface is PySide6/Qt, the modules run on independent engines, and the scope stretches from visual archive indexing to an unsupervised full pipeline.

What makes the story matter is the author as much as the tool: Canikligil is a producer and storyteller, not a developer. It is proof that the person who understands the need best can now write their own professional-grade tool with AI-assisted coding. The same wave is visible globally; the difference is that this one comes from Turkey, from the middle of a working broadcast operation.

At Flu the tool is already used in episode production, and Canikligil openly walks through both the architecture and the roadmap in his videos. The era of non-coders building their own tools has arrived with Turkish subtitles too.
